Research Interest

Using stable and radio isotopic ratios (e.g.¹⁵N/¹⁴N, ¹³C/¹²C, ³⁴S/³²S ) for reconstructing past agricultural/ climatic / environmental (biogeochemical) changes.

AMS and conventional (beta decay counting based) Radiocarbon (¹⁴C) measurements to obtain ages and understand of geological/ environmental/ anthropogenic processes.

Inter-annual to millennial timescale climate variability.

Received External Budgetary Resource Medal-2018 given by Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences Lucknow. - 2018
Received prestigious National Geosciences’ award (2013),given by Ministry of Mines, Government of Indiafor making outstanding contributions in Geo-environmental studies. The award was given by Honorable President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 6th April,2015. - 2015
Best presentation award in IEEE workshop on Artificial Intelligence held at IIT Kanpur on 14th July, 2013. - 2013
Received prestigious M.S. Krishnan Gold Medal (2012) by Indian Geophysical Union, Hyderabad, India for outstanding contributions made in the Earth and Environmental sciences. - 2012
