My research background is based on reconstructing past environment primarily using Phytolith analysis. I am interested in combining various proxies from archaeological sites to study climate culture relationships based on subsistence pattern, plant use and agricultural systems, past vegetation and climate change. Besides exploring archaeological sites I am equally interested to study other palaeoclimatic archives in order to investigate past climate and vegetation change. My research work is based on using various proxies like phytoliths, carbonized macro remains, carbon isotopes and sponge facies.
